The Indian government has been taking great steps in recent years to open up new opportunities for its citizens, allowing them to pursue careers abroad. From blue-collar jobs to white-collar ones, the country is making sure that no one is left behind when it comes to pursuing a career abroad.
For starters, the Indian government has initiated a series of programmes designed to encourage and assist individuals who wish to move abroad for work. These include the Overseas Employment Scheme, which provides financial assistance to people looking for jobs abroad, and the Skill India Mission, which aims to create an environment conducive for skill development and employment opportunities in foreign countries.
In addition, the government has taken steps to make it easier for blue-collar workers from India to work overseas. This includes increasing the number of visas issued by foreign countries and streamlining the process of getting them approved. The government has also made efforts to improve labour laws in other countries so that they can be more accommodating towards Indian migrant workers.
Grey collar workers are also being given a helping hand by the government. Over the past few years, India has launched several initiatives such as Make in India and Start-up India that are aimed at encouraging entrepreneurship among its citizens. These initiatives provide entrepreneurs with access to business resources such as funding and mentoring programmes that can help them take their businesses global.
Pink collar jobs have also been gaining attention of late thanks to various initiatives taken by the Indian government. The Ministry of Women & Child Development (MoWCD) recently announced new policies that are designed to promote gender equality and support women’s entrepreneurship in India. These policies provide financial assistance, training programmes, and networks of mentorships and peer-to-peer learning opportunities for female entrepreneurs who wish to start or grow their businesses abroad.
Finally, white collar workers have not been left out either – there have been numerous initiatives undertaken by both private sector companies and public sector organisations for creating job openings overseas for Indians with high qualifications. For instance, Infosys recently launched an initiative called ‘Global Talent Connect’ through which it hopes to connect potential employees from India with employers from around the world who may want their skillset on board.
All these efforts put together are slowly but surely opening doors for Indians from all walks of life who wish pursue careers abroad – something that was once only a distant dream!
